Mission and Goals



St. Francis School of Radiography exists to provide the medical community with competent entry-level professionals in the field of Radiologic Technology. The graduate of the program will be awarded a certificate of completion and will have the skills and knowledge necessary to sit for the National Registry examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

As part of the Resurrection Health Care System we use CARES to represent the Core Values of our Mission. Our Core Values encourage each one of us to be a person who CARES about our work and our relationships and who expresses that caring by the quality our own Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service.

Keeping the above in mind, this program has been developed to provide the necessary technical skills, also the progressive maturity, intellectual, social and emotional values upon which the responsible and dedicated technologist can build to enrich his/her professional capacity. It is of the utmost importance that the student learns the meaning of human dignity and his/her responsibility to the patient, the profession and to him/herself.


Goals of the Program

This purpose is further defined in the following goals:

  1. Students will have effective communication skills.

  2. Students will be able to think critically and problem solve while in the clinical setting.

  3. Graduates will be competent entry level professionals of radiography.

  4. Graduates of the program will be clinically competent.

  5. Students will understand the importance of personal and professional growth.

Graduation Requirements

To qualify for graduation and receive a certificate of completion, the student must have:

  1. Completed satisfactorily all requirements of the curriculum both classroom and clinical.

  2. Fulfilled all financial obligations to the School.

  3. Consistently demonstrated compliance with the Mission and Core Values of the Program.
